New Delhi: Auto component manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen AG is planning to set up a joint venture with China-based Wolong Electric Group for manufacturing electric motor sub-components, the German company has informed in a release.
With this partnership, ZF aims to expand its business in the biggest electric mobility market in the world. ZF also claims that with this partnership, it will enhance the product portfolio and further improve competitiveness in electric driveline systems.
Jorg Grotendorst, Head of ZF’s E-Mobility Division, said, “The partnership with Wolong, a key player of electric motors and components in the Chinese market, is a great next step in further strengthening our electric mobility strategy. With the joint venture, we extend our value chain for electric motors to include sub-components and it gives us even better access to customers and suppliers in China."
