Fundermax India, a Rs 100-crore wood-products based architectural company, plans to set up a manufacturing unit in Karnataka to cater to the growing needs of wood products for the real estate market in India.
"The manufacturing unit will be a hub for the APAC market with a total capacity of 2mn sq mtrs of wood based products," said Prashanth Reddy, Managing Director, Fundermax India.
Fundermax India, leader in architectural products for interior and exterior applications has over 32000 SKUs offering high design freedom.
The Aurtrian firm which supplies building material to builders like Brigade, Prestige, Puravankara, Infosys and Wipro, expects to see 60% of the current business coming from the residential segment in the current fiscal. According to Reddy the firm is seeing more business from tier II and III towns due to reverse migration.
"We expect to touch 80% of the Pre-Covid figure this year. The residential real estate sector is poised to see a growth in the coming quarters with some of the large projects being revived post the pick up in sales," he said. Before the outbreak of the COVID-19 globally the firm had 40% of its business being generated from residential, while the remaining was from commercial real estate.
