Data centre network cabling and connectivity firm AFL Hyperscale and SASMOS HET Technologies have formed a strategic collaboration to offer flexibility and customization of hyperscale, co-location, and enterprise data centre products for Indian customers.

As part of the collaboration, SASMOS HET has established a fibre optic facility in Bengaluru, and with AFL’s global expertise, will provide ‘Made in India’ products and engineering solutions to help align end-to-end networks that conform to global standards. AFL is a subsidiary of America Fujikura.

“The tremendous growth of the IT sector in India has created a huge opportunity for global data centre providers,” said Steve Althoff, president of AFL Hyperscale. “AFL understands the importance of speed to market, which is not just driving customer proximity for global companies, but also localizing the value chain. To make this possible, we aim to expand our presence in India and partner with SASMOS.”

Althoff said the strategic collaboration will help AFL Hyperscale leverage the strength of SASMOS. “We are certain that this collaboration will create a tremendous value proposition for Indian customers,” he said.

AFL Hyperscale launched its India business in 2017 and said it has doubled its turnover in India.

“With AFL’s world-class technology ecosystem blended with SASMOS’ talent pool, we are geared up to build and offer Indian customers innovative cutting-edge solutions to support the rapid expansion and demand for AFL products in India,” said Subramanya Ullal, chief executive officer at SASMOS HET Technologies.
