Bharti Airtel said it is collaborating with Capgemini to bring 5G-based enterprise grade solutions to the Indian market. Under the partnership, the two companies will bring together their experience in connectivity and 5G solutions, and system integration capabilities, to develop a range of India-focused use cases.
French information technology and consulting company Capgemini's 5G lab, housed in its Mumbai campus, and Bharti Airtel's 5G lab in Manesar will be the development hubs, the two companies said without disclosing any financial details.Two 5G use cases have already been deployed by Capgemini at Bharti Airtel's 5G lab. These are focused on smart health and immersive remote assistance for field operations and maintenance. These use case solutions leverage computer vision, video analytics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Bharti Airtel had earlier said that it was collaborating with global consulting and technology companies such as Accenture, Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Ericsson, Google Cloud, Nokia and Tata Consultancy to demonstrate enterprise-grade use cases using high-speed, low-latency 5G networks.
The telecom operator is working with brands such as Apollo Hospitals and Flipkart.
