Chandrapur Growth Centre is a pride industrial area developed by MIDC. The total area is 723.65 hectares.

The land came under MIDC possession in the year, 1995. The development work started in 1998 and is yet to be completed. Since 1996 when the plot allotment started in Chandrapur, projects worth lakhs have been established in this area.

Water: A water supply scheme has been constructed by MIDC at Chandrapur. The source of water is jack well on Wardha river, near Dhanora village, which is 10 km. away from Chandrapur. The scheme supplies 8 mld. water in the first phase. The raw water is purified at the water treatment plant within the area according to WHO standards, which has an ultimate capacity of 45 mld. MIDC has laid 10 km. 600 mm dia. PSC pipeline up to WTP in the area from where it is taken to elevated service reservoir (ESR) in Chandrapur Growth Centre having capacity 1000 m3. MIDC assures 24 hours water supply with a minimum pressure of 1 kg /sq.cm. at the point of connection.

Roads: The internal roads within the area are of international standards. The land width of the main road is 45 meters. and internal road is meters. The main road has 4 traffic lanes and the internal roads are of 2 and 1 lanes. The main roads have been provided with underground water supply distribution services. The main roads are constructed with modern techniques comprising of water bound macadam.

Residential Facilities: A proposed 249.66 hectares is reserved for residential and commercial zone in the area. Facilities such as power supply, water supply, road, etc. will be provided. In this growth centre, plots are available for construction of residential complexes. The rate for residential zone is Rs. 30 per m. and for commercial zone rate will be fixed by auction.

Electricity: MIDC has applied for 1,400 hp load to MSEB for LT network for part layout.
