Chandur is an industrial area and a municipal council in Amravati district in the state of Maharashtra, India.   Rice is the primary crop of the district.  Sorghum is also produced to a certain extent. Cotton is grown in the River basin. Sesame is also harvested on a large scale in this district. Chandur has an abundance of mineral resources. Coal is also major resource found.
