Karad growth center and it is situated on national highway 4 and is 15 km from Karad city. The area is main objective is to promote industrial growth in the Satara District. MIDC began the development of 193.74 hectares of this area in 1990. 

In this area all the infrastructural facilities are ready and about 542 small and medium sized plots carved out, which include 439 industrial plots, 14 commercial plots, 8 amenities plots, 60 small plots (shops, stalls, etc), and 21 sheds. Of these 44 industrial, 5 commercial and 20 small plots, 2 amenity and 5 sheds are available for allotment. Water: MIDC has developed 195.19 hectares of total land for engineering units and allotted 464 plots for amenity use and commercial use. In the area most of the plots have been allotted and 260 units are in production. MIDC has developed a water supply scheme to provide 4.5 MLD of water. The water is sourced from river Krishna that lies eight km away from the area.
