Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation has developed an Industrial Area on 12.80 hectares of land at Kavathemahankal. The land came under MIDC possession in the year 1993.

The development work started in the year 1995. By now the Industrial Area is fully developed as a mini Industrial Area and all Infrastructure facilities have been provided here. Plots Alloted: Out of the total plottable area, 41 plots in the allotted Industrial Zone have an area of more than 3.6 hectares.

Water: Water supply in this area is through a bore well. A proposed permanent water supply scheme has been worked out. A ESR is already constructed for the same having a capacity of 25 cum.
Roads: Main roads in the area have one lane and a landwidth of 25 meters. The internal roads also of a single lane have a land width of 25m & 15 m. All the main roads and internal roads are WBM for approaches to plot.
Streetlights are also erected on the roads.

Power: Maharashtra State Electricity Board provides power supply through a sub-station of capacity 33 / 11 KVA, which is located outside the Industrial Area. There are 2 transformers of 5 MVA.: Telecommunication Facility / Connectivity

An Electronic Telephone Exchange is functioning at Kavathemahankal town. The telephone exchange has 3400 lines. This exchange is connected to the main Sangli City Telephone Exchange.
Streetlights: Street Lights along all the main roads and internal roads are provided with 70 W HPSV (High-Pressure Sodium Vapour lamps) on 9 m high steel tubular poles. A total of 30 streetlights are provided in the whole area.
