The Industry is a thriving force at Koppal. A proposed rice technology park is set to add momentum to the food processing industries here.

Tissue culture in Banana to identify better yields than the local varieties and establishing of soil and water analysis laboratory and leaf analysis unit in the district will help the farmer to select suitable crops for cultivation and to identify the nutritional disorders of the crop are a felt need in the district Power generation is a focus area in Koppal with a Mini Hydel power unit at Shivapura, Koppal taluk;

one wind power generation unit in Hanumansagar, Kushtagi Taluk and Three Biomass power units in Gangavathi Taluk made available Koppal houses 27 Large and Medium scale Industries along with 6,047 small-scale industries with aggregated investment INR 1.528 billion. These industries are well served by 1 Industrial area and 1 Industrial Estate located in the district.

Two more Industrial estates 104 and 100 acres in Koppal and Yelburga respectively are proposed to augment the infrastructure in the region. Plans are on to build Steel Ancillary Units across 154.39 acres with KAIDB acquiring the land at Basapura Village. However 64.28 acre land for developing Granite Industries and a 250 acre Granite Cluster/Park is proposed in Kushtagi Taluk.
