Taloja Industrial Area is situated near Panvel. Water: MIDC has constructed a water supply scheme to supply 32 MLD of water to Taloja Industrial Area from Barvi Dam grid, owned by MIDC.
Roads: The area is connected internally by multiple lane-asphalted roads of Indian standards with underground services like storm water collection, effluent collection, water supply, etc. The width of the main road is 15 m and width of the internal roads are 7.5 and 5.5 m. The total length of the roads is 39.11 km. Connectivity: A dedicated electronic exchange having a provision of 5000 lines has been commissioned by MTNL. The exchange is connected to Mumbai city, facilitates local dialing and provides ISDN connectivity.
Residential Facilities: CIDCO has developed a residential and commercial area known as Navi Mumbai, 2 km from Taloja Industrial Area. Plenty of residential facilities, to suit different income groups, is readily available. Common Effluent Disposal Facility: A common effluent disposal scheme of 18 MLD capacity, phase I -10 MLD and Phase II - 8MLD has been undertaken and completed by MIDC in order to make the areaeco-friendly. This scheme is being operated as a joint venture between MIDC and Taloja Manufacturer Association and takes care of effluent collection, treatment and disposal.
The Common Effluent Treatment Plant has been commissioned in August 2000.Fire Station: A fire station of 958.80 sq m area has been constructed to handle chemical, petrochemical, textile fires etc.
Power: A100 Kv substation has been installed to meet the power supply needs of the Industrial Area. Another 220 Kv sub-station is under construction and will be commissioned soon. Common Facility Centre: MIDC has established a common facility center that houses a bank, canteen, dispensary, post office, etc to facilitate industrialists, staff and workmen. In addition MIDC has provided 20 Kiosks to supply essential commodities to the people.
